Legacy Webster Client

How will I access my personal online and mobile banking?
As a Legacy Webster online banking client, click “Please log into Webster Online” after selecting the Log In button at the top right of our new home page at websterbank.com. You can also go directly to Webster Online.
Will these changes impact Legacy Webster clients’ passwords?
No, Legacy Webster Online clients will not be asked to reset their password at this time. This will only impact Legacy Sterling clients.

Legacy Sterling Clients

How will I access my personal online and mobile banking?
As a Legacy Sterling client, you can sign into your accounts using the same Username and Password login field you previously used. On your first log in from our refreshed website, you will be prompted to accept new Online Banking terms and conditions and reset your password to meet new security standards.
As a Legacy Sterling client, why do I need to reset my password?
To make your accounts more secure, Webster is increasing the password requirements to 12 characters in length.
What are the new password requirements for Legacy Sterling clients to log in to Online Banking?
Minimum character requirement is 12 (previously 9):
  • Requires 1 uppercase and 1 lowercase character
  • Requires 1 number
  • Requires 1 special character (new requirement)
    • Characters that can be used include `"-',#@:?!()$\/.
Will the Legacy Sterling mobile apps be impacted?
If you use a legacy mobile app, you will be prompted to accept terms & conditions and update to a more secure password.
I have my password saved in my browser (or password manager), what do I do?
You will need to manually enter the password the first time you log in. You may then save your new password in the browser (if desired) and the password manager (if you are using one).
I forgot my username or password. How can I log in?
Please use the “forgot password” option to reset your username and password located on the log in screen. If you are still unable to log in, please contact us for assistance.
