Peter Kapp Joins Webster as Chief Strategy Officer

Webster Bank is pleased to announce that Peter Kapp has joined Webster as Executive Managing Director and Chief Strategy Officer. Reporting directly to Chief Financial Officer Neal Holland, Kapp will lead the Bank’s corporate strategy function, including corporate development and resolution planning, ensuring that it aligns with the bank’s vision and business goals.

“Peter’s deep experience with large financial institutions will be a tremendous asset as we continue to strengthen our financial and strategic capabilities,” said Holland.

Most recently, Kapp served as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Capital Management and Finance Shared Services at Fannie Mae, where he played a key role in capital strategy and financial transformation. He also spent 20 years at Citigroup in various leadership roles, including Managing Director, Head of Capital Planning, Forecasting, and Analytics. He began his career as an investment banker for Financial Institutions at Citigroup.

Kapp holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a BSE in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University.
