Yes! You can complete an account application online in minutes.

All you need is a smart phone, your contact information, driver's license, passport or state I.D. and Social Security Number.

To open an account online, you must be at least 18 years old and reside in one of the following states: Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Vermont. If you're between the ages of 13 and 17, you can open a joint account by visiting a banking center.

While you can open your account online if you reside in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Vermont, there may be certain account maintenance functions that must be completed inside of a Banking Center.

While you are currently unable to process check orders directly through the digital account opening experience, you can order checks via:
  • Online by visiting the Harland Clarke website, Webster Bank’s authorized check printing partner
  • Phone by calling your Personal Banking Client Services team at 800.325.2424
  • In Person: by speaking with a Relationship Manager or Banker at one of our full-service banking centers
NOTE: Once you have placed your first order and you do not require any changes, you can always reorder checks1 online at any time.
